Give Thanks

I woke up this morning feeling extremely grateful. I know some days get "coo-coo" as we call it, but this morning was just one of those mornings that you get it. You get just how blessed you are. I know it is Thanksgiving and we should be remembering the things we are grateful for, but I will admit that I sometimes treat it like any other day. No, most normal days I don't eat turkey and gravy, but you know what I mean. Today, was a day that I actually took the time to step back and admire my children playing. Really watching them giggle and laugh. We are so blessed. We are surrounded by family and we are TRUELY grateful for everyone in our lives. Thank you! Thank you!

Life With Boys

Only in a house with 3 boys will you ever see something like this. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. I'm not quit sure how this actually happened. No one could give me an answer. Imagine that!! Needless to say, we all ended up with a good laugh and the shirt found the trash!

Emmie Learns New Tricks

Emmie has learned that she can reach the piano all by herself. She loves music. And she loves the piano! Emmie also learned how to stand all by herself! She gets in a budah squat and then stands up. She's so funny!

What a Weekend!

Halloween was so much fun this year! Thankfully, I found the cutest Bumble Bee costume for Emmie at Cracker Barrell. That saved me from having to make it! YEAH. Baylor was Rey Mysterio and Landon was Mick Foley - Hello Mr. Sock-o!! For those of you who do not know - my kids are WWE maniacs. Corbin decided to do a classic character - Mr. Bones! Pa brought over the trailer full of hay for the kids. That was really great. They ran stronge for a while, but they slowly ran out of steam, in which the trailer was priceless! Thanks Pa and Tickle! Saturday was quite busy. We made Baylor breakfast for his Birthday and then headed to church for a run through of Sunday's Baptism. Afterwards we had lunch and then dropped the kids off at home with a sitter so we could go watch the FL vs. GA game at Pa and Tickle's house with other friends! Sunday was Emmie's Baptism! Marla and Scott are Emmie's Godparents. The church was packed. We are members at St. George Episcipal Church on Ft. George Island. It is very old and very tiny. It was a beautiful service. Emmie was so funny. When we walked up to the alter she saw her brothers and cousins and smiled with her sweet smile and said,"Hey!" It was great! As you can tell from the picture she loves to lean her head back. Aunt Marla had been flipping her the day before. I totally thought she was going to flip out of Kammy's arms! The kids thought that was hilarious!! It was a beautiful day filled with God's love! What more could you ask for?? We are truly blessed.

Where Oh Where Has the Time Gone???

I cannot believe that all of September has passed and now most of October. I don't think I can even begin to sum up the last 2 months for you, but oh I am going to try. Here it goes: UMMM - school, football, homework, laundry, school, football, homework, laundry - you get the picture! Well, we really have been consumed with all of the above. The kids are really enjoying school and their teachers. Corbin finally, started after Labor Day and has been having lots of fun, too. I love this time of year. October brings such a fun spirit to our house. This has to be one of our favorite times of the year. I actually decorated the house the last weekend of September because I was so anxious for fall! The boys love dressing up in their costumes and eating candy for days! I can't wait to see what Emerson thinks!! Well, October 14th was the day I had my thyoid surgery. I stayed 1 night in the hospital (crazy what I have to do for a break!). It all went great and the doctor said I did NOT have cancer. YEAHH! My scar looks pretty good at this point, too. Friday night we went over to Alicia and Randy's and carved pumpkins with friends and family. We had a blast! Although I did all the carving. Saturday was our last football game. Toby and Landon had so much fun. It was hard work, but well worth it. They only won 1 game, but learned a ton. Baylor is now dying to play. Next season should be really crazy with 2 playing. This week we will be having lots of school Fall Parties and getting ready for Trick or Treating. Baylor's birthday is Saturday and the FL vs. GA game. And on Sunday we are having Sweet Emmie Baptised. It will be crazy. But, that's life with 4 kids I guess? Hope all is well with everyone.

Jamboree

Give me a Green! Give me a Gold! Go Hornets, Go! Today was the big day! Landon could hardly go to sleep last night - he was so excited! We all got up and got decked out in our green and gold, even Emmie! (I made her a dress to wear) When we got to the Callahan park this morning all of the kids had big smiles on their faces. Toby was quite pumped, too! Today was the first day that Toby let the kids yell, "Go Hornets!" He said that they finally earned the right to call themselves Hornets! It was so much fun. The kids only got to play 2 short scrimmages so next week will be our first REAL game. Landon and Toby are having such a great time. Check out the Yulee Hornet site for more photos!!

Emmie's Injury

OK. So, everyone out there probably already thinks I never watch my kid. I do, though. I really do! She's just so fast and the boys, oh the boys, are so messy and in to EVERYTHING! I'm thankfully that they are getting to an age where they help themselves and don't ask for my help all the time. On the flip side we have got to work harder on cleaning up behind ourselves, especially if we make a mess. Now that I have given some background to the madness, I walk into the kitchen to find Emmie covered in what appears to be blood. It was everywhere. But, typical Emmie was just sitting there smiling. My first thought was OMG someone left scissors or a knife on the ground and she picked it up. My Heart was pounding. I leaned over to pick her up and she just smelt so sweet. It was a fimiliar smell - KOOLAIDE. Corbin had tried to make some Koolaide and spelled it on the floor. I had just bathed her too! So, off we went for another bath. At that moment I realized this was a perfect blog photo moment!!

Date Set

Toby and I met with Dr. Wilkinson today about my thyroid surgery. He definately felt that surgery was a no-brainer. He said my nodule would only continue to grow. Although surgery is evident, he said it probably is not cancer. He was very thorough. He looked at my past history and even put a microscope down my nose to check it out from the inside. I totally felt like one of those people - ya know the kind on the side of the road trying to make a buck doing tricks pulling string through their nose and out of their mouth - ya it was weird. He said everything looked good, though. He said it wasn't emergency surgery, but he didn't want me to wait until January. So, I am scheduled for October 14th at 9am. Hopefully, I only have to stay one night. In the meantime I have to start weening Ms. Emerson. This is the part that is going to kill me! Nursing is something that I just love and now I am forced to give it up. I know it's silly, but I'm quite sad about it. Especially, it being my last baby. Not only will it be painful, but introducing formula and a bottle at 8 months old should be interesting. I'm not sure what's going to happen, but I will keep everyone posted! Emmie is a trooper and always with a smile, so I'm sure she will be fine. Until then, here's a toast to good health!!!

First Day of School

None of us can believe school is here again. The boys were very anxious Monday morning before school. Baylor had a major break done the moment he hit the classroom. Landon being the sweet brother that he is gave him words of encouragement and a big hug. He gave me a thumbs up as I was leaving as he wiped away his tears. Landon was excited! He got the teachers he wanted and is in class with his best friend from across the street, Brandon, is in his class again this year! They are very excited about that! They were all smiles when they got home. Both of them had a great day. This morning Baylor did a little better. It is just so hard to be on your own without mom or dad. He gets so anxious. As time goes it will get better. Well, as you can see my pics are foggy! I guess there was fog on my lens - bummer!! They both looked stylish and ready to learn. They both got WWE wrestling backpacks - Landon has the Undertaker and Bay has DX Generation! I just learned tonight that school is cancelled for Wed. and Thurs. due to Fay which is supposed to become a Huricane. This should be interesting. I am also supposed to meet with my surgeon tomorrow too. I will keep everyone posted.

OREOS

OMG! I walked back into the house to find Emerson in the Oreo jar. Corbin had them out and left them on the floor. She thought it was so funny. Let me say for the record that I would not have had this same reaction with my first child. With the first I would have been completely upset - of course, the Oreos wouldn't have been on the floor with my first, either! She just kept smiling and I kept laughing. She definately likes Oreos!!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

So, the last couple of weeks have been crazy. I have been doing serveral different things for 2 seperate events. The first event was my cousin Erica's Baby Shower Aug. 9th. I was in charge of the "Thank You" gifts and name cards for the tables. The second was the Teacher Welcome Back Party sponsored by the PTO at the boys school yesterday, Aug.11th. The schools theme this year is "Ride the Tide and Discover New Depths". So, I decided to make Tissue Paper Fish for the tables. That was a chore, but worth all of the labor! Both events turned out beautiful. Erica's shower was wonderful. Alaina decided to have it at Sterling's Cafe. The food was great and Erica received some really great gifts, too. She is expecting her 1st Oct. 2nd - it's a GIRL! I have to admit that I am really glad that Monday has come and gone. This was a big deal. I was in charge of coordinating everthing from the food to the decorations. This was my first event and I wanted it to be nice. It seemed to go over really well! The teachers seemed to enjoy it and that is the most important thing! My next event will be the Christmas Party! Also, last night was a BIG night for Landon. The team got to finally wear their pads!!! The hitting has begun! Landon is having soooo much fun. Be sure to check out Go Yulee Hornets for pics! (click on the link on the top right corner) Below you find some random pics! Hope you enjoy.
