Alleluia!

"...For the Angel said to the woman, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has risen, as he said." Mathew 28:5-6

Eggs and X-Games

Good Friday was a really Good Friday! For years, me and the kids would go over to my Gran's house and color Easter eggs. The kids always looked forward to this tradition. The loved GG (as they called her)! She would have everything ready and set up for us. We would pick up lunch and enjoy a few hours together. In memory of Great Gran, my Dad, brother, his wife and kids all came over and we colored Easter eggs together. It was fun. I was a little out of sorts...GG always did everything. I even had to call my mom-in-la (Tickle) to find out how to boil the eggs!
The kids had a blast! They love being together.
This is the egg Landon made for GG!
Emmie thought it was quite fun, too!
Later in the afternoon the kids and neighborhood kids put on THE X-Games! It started at 5pm sharp!! We had autograph books, fireworks, cookies and kool-aide and lots of TRICKS!
This is Brandon doing his BIG trick!
Here they are...what a group!

Spring Has Sprung

How can you not give Praise to God! Look around at All of life's wonderful Blessing!
Corbin brought this little guy home yesterday. He said he needs water and a hair cut!
Corbin had his Easter Party at school. He filled his basket to the brim! The weather has been beautiful - minus a few cold snaps here and there! We had a great day at the beach last weekend.

Praise be to GOD!

March Madness

Well, it's been awhile since I last posted. We will start with today's BIG event. Baylor decide it was time to cut the wig! He has been begging to get the spikey do like Corbin. I let them play "hooky" from school and had Aunt Joann come over to cut his hair. He was so anxious waiting on her to get here.
It was almost too much to handle for him - just watching all of his hair fall to floor. I think he really wanted to change his mind at this point!
Here sits the hair that was once on top of his head! After he was finished he wanted to check himself out in the mirror. He told me he wanted to go by himself. Joann and I waited and then we heard the scream, "What did I do?!?!???" He was so upset! He cried and then Aunt Joann cried. After a shower and a fresh perspective he started to like it! He keeps looking at himself in the mirror! It is so cute. I still am getting used to the short do. He looks like Corbin now!
Below are a few things that have brought a smile to my face!

Remembering G.G.

Coloring Easter eggs with G.G. The boys ALWAYS loved doing this with her!
Landon and G.G. at Christmas.
G.G. with some of her great grandbabies at Christmas. She loved being with her family. It was by far the most important thing to her!
Emmie and G.G. having a good chuckle. Baylor and G.G.
Emmie and G.G.
Visiting G.G. at the Life Care Center.
We are ALL going to miss her dearly. She was the glue that held us together. Life will be so different without her in it. I am so thankful that I was able to spend so much time with her. She will be missed so much. We love you, Great Gran!!!

Spread the Love

This morning is a "Bitter Sweet" morning. I am thankful for my wonderful husband, who I love so much, and my sweet, sweet children, but I am consumed with sadness as my whole family prepares for my Gran's passing. She is so close to my heart and my heart is so heavy with grief. I went to visit her in the hospital last night. I am thankful for a "last" moment with her. She is not alert, but I know that she feels our love. The days will be hard as we wait for her time here on earth to end. We are all praying for her to be in peace in heaven with Jesus!
The kids are aware that she is not in good health. Baylor seems to be very upset. He came home from school Friday with a story about GG. He was very emotional yesterday! We have so many wonderful memories with her!
We are all cooped up inside ... it's been raining ALL day long. We were supposed to have Corbin's birthday party Sunday, but it is going to be ANOTHER rainy day!
Corbin turned 5 Wednesday!! He requested a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and a BIG 5 on top!!!
Emmie discovered Tickle's chocolate pound cake one morning! We still don't know how she got it! But she was in chocolate heaven. I chased her around the house trying to get it from her!
