Never Say Never

Have yall ever said, "oh, I would NEVER"??? Yeah, I am guilty of that! I will vow to NEVER do something and then sure enough, I'll change my mind. We'll that was the case with the Minivan. I have been a loyal SUV driving since I can remember. Always saying that I would NEVER own a minivan...well, I am now a PROUD owner of a minivan!!! And yes, I did say PROUD! Look. I loved my Yukon XL, but times are different now. It's time downsize (our monthly payment that is). Believe it or not we are all really liking "The Mini" as we call her. We are all becoming quite found of her. Landon was a little worried about what "The Mini" was going to do for his reputation. He was shocked to learn that is WAY cooler than he thought. We've had her for about 2 weeks now and we feel like she is part of the family now! We think she's a keeper! On to other things more important than The Mini". Landon tried out of the schools News Crew about a week ago. He was really excited about it. There were only 13 positions available and more than 35 kids tried out for it. Iwas a tad bit worried that he wasn't going to make it. We talked about the odds and he said he'd be OK if he didn't make. Well, Monday morning they announced the new members of the crew and he made it!!! He was sooooo excited! It is quite a big responsibility. He has to get to school about 45 minutes early and he will miss about 10-15 mins. of class time. He was so hyped last night because this morning was his first day on the job. He set his alarm clock and got ready so super fast - I was very impressed! Normally, for those that don't know us well - we are NEVER on time! We seem to always be a step behind. I think this will be really good for Landon. He is taking this very seriously. This News Crew thing is right up his ally. He is always directing shows and plays and X-Games in the cul-de-sac. His teacher told me that she heard he did really well; he took his time and was very charasmatic in his audition! The rest of the school year will be practice for the new kids, but next year will be the real deal. I'm a proud moma!

  1. I am so proud of Landon. That is awesome and not a surprise that he made the group/team. I know that he will be a great contribution and I do hope that he continues to be excited about it.
I love love the mini. When justin had his work minivan I loved it because of all of the room that it gives!
    Love you bunches.
